This is the first new construction private club to be built in the near western suburbs of Chicago in over 80 years.  World renown architect Arthur Hills designed a 7,400 yard, 18 hole golf course, set on an elevated, sprawling site of 270 acres with over 75 feet of elevation change and clear views of the Chicago skyline.  The par 72 championship golf course will be built to state-of-the-art specifications, including a cutting-edge irrigation system that will ensure the best quality of maintenance possible. 

Course Type:  Private Membership

Primary Grasses:  Bentgrass Greens, Tees and Fairways

Education:  Minimum of a two-year certificate in turfgrass management or related field and ability to obtain an Illinois pesticide license.

Course Description:  Rich Harvest Farms is a private 18 hole facility located in Sugar Grove Illinois and will host the 2009 Solheim Cup. Rich Harvest has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the “Top 100” golf courses in the United States and is the home course for the Northern Illinois University golf teams. 

Requirements:  Two or Four degree in Turf management or related field.  Experience preferred.  Dependable, hard working individual with the ability to communicate with Spanish speaking staff

Job Description:  The 2nd Assistant will be responsible but not limited to:  all aspects of cultural practices, chemical and fertilizer applications, irrigation maintenance and management, staff supervision and project management.

Salary:  $26,000 to $28,000 annually

Job Description

Crane's Landing is a public 18 hole golf course designed by George Fazio and opened in 1975.  Crane's Landing is located approximately 30 miles north of downtown Chicago.  Even though it is part of the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, the majority of play comes from the surrounding area.

The Second Assistand Superintendent will assist the Superintendent in all aspects of golf course management.  Duties include pesticide application, course setup, project management and crew management.

Candidate must have a two year certification or four year degree in turfgrass management and two years of work experience on a golf course.  Must have or obtain an Illinois Pesticide Appplicator License and have a valid driver's license.
