Match Play Format

The event is a 2-Man Best Ball with match play scoring based upon 75% of each competitor's established index. Each winning team will be awarded one point for a victory and 1/2 point to each team in the case of a tie. Teams will be chosen by the 2 captains of the event (The ITF President and MAGCS President).

Guest Speaker: Doug Soldat, Assistant Professor and UW-Extenstion Specialist, Department of Soil Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Doug Soldat received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Soil Science. He earned a Ph.D. from Cornell University where he studied the influence of soil test phosphorus levels on phosphorus runoff from turfgrass. Doug is currently an associate professor in the Department of Soil Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in turfgrass and urban soil management. His research, teaching, and outreach programs are focused on improving nutrient and water use efficiency of turfgrass.

This year MAGCS has reserved the Rooftop Location along the first base line.

"Located along the baselines, the Miller Lite and Pepsi Rooftop Party Decks provide an open-air covered patio area allowing guests to enjoy the excitement of Cougars baseball with this one-of-a-kind perspective. Our exclusive Rooftop Decks come equipped with dining table seating and stadium seating to enjoy the company of your family, friends, co-workers or clients."

Agenda

4:30 pm - Gates Open
6:00 pm - Food begins and will be served until 8 pm
- Food will be an all you can eat buffet, hot dogs and brats, burgers and other ballpark fare
- Complimentary soda, water, and beer served until bottom of 8th inning
6:30 pm - Baseball game followed by fireworks immediately after

Format:
18 holes of Stroke Play consisting of the following flights:

Championship GROSS
Senior (age 50-59) GROSS
Regular Flight NET
Super Senior A Flight (60 and over) GROSS
Super Senior B Flight (60 and over) NET
Commercial NET

There will also be an option to not compete in the Championships, but enjoy the day playing golf.

The Championship, Senior Championship and Super Senior Championship A Flight, will be contested as a scratch events. All other flights will be contested as a net event using verified USGA handicaps. You must have a valid USGA handicap to compete. All flights and player pairings will be determined by the MAGCS Golf Committee.

Conditions of Competition:
The Rules of the USGA govern all play except as modified by local rule. Local rules will be announced on the day of competition. Do not forget, you must putt out.
